As I walk these streets on my morning walk, my youngest strapped close to me, I find myself reminiscing and smiling at the memories I’ve made here with my three older boys.
As I walk past this poky little tree, I think about my almost-six-year-old, who was just three at the time, and how fascinated he was by it. Somehow, that little memory still makes me smile every time I pass it.
I think about the mornings when we would leave my eldest at school and head out for a walk. I think about each of my boys, once this little, nestled against me in these very same baby carriers.
I think about all the beautiful memories we’ve shared—the laughter, the little adventures, the ordinary moments that became extraordinary simply because we were together.
And now, here I am, creating new memories with my youngest. Living new moments. Growing into a new season of our lives.
There is an overwhelming nostalgia for the past, but alongside it is an even greater love and joy for the present. And then there is the excitement of knowing that there is still so much ahead of us.
So I’m learning to embrace every season.
To remember without wishing I could go back.
To be present without rushing through it.
And to look forward to the future while still holding close the beautiful memories that brought us here.
Because every season has its own kind of magic—and I’m grateful I get to live them all. ❤️
